The Department of Geography was introduced in 1997-98, The department offers B.A. Regular Course following the UG-CBCS (Under Graduate Choice Band Credit System) Under Gauhati University. The students are admitted on the basis of marks obtained in the HS (10+2) Standard Examinations Conducted by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSC) or any other equivalent examinations. In Coming years , The Department is enthusiastic to open B.A. Honours Courses.
